Tekovia

The seat of the Cobalt Shark Empire. Tekovia is truly a city of craftsmen and artisans. For it was here where the renowned Tekovian Steel was first forged. Apprentices from all corners of Empiria trek here to learn the Cobalt Shark’s legendary blacksmithing techniques. Those with the knowledge of this style of steelmaking are often selective with whom they choose to pass it on to, to ensure their empire’s hold on the market. Tekovia is also home to the finest vessels in all of Empiria. Capable of enduring long voyages, and surviving even the most treacherous waters. The leader of the Cobalt Sharks holds residence here, however, they are often found on the deck of their ship, using their firm grip to guide their people.

Tobdren

The central city of the Cobalt Shark Empire. This city once served as the capital back when leviathans wandered the oceans and the Cobalt Sharks exported their blood to blood mages all over Empiria. Tobdren today is made up mostly of whalers serving as a shadow of what used to be a brutal tradition of leviathan hunting. Thanks to its position within the territory, it remains the primary exporter of food in the empire. Due to this fact, the city has developed a famed reputation for excellent seafood cuisine. With its chefs specializing in the creation of delicious dishes both raw and cooked alike.

Fort Finley

Sitting high above the raging waters below, the jagged battlements of Fort Finley reach up like a claw gripping the sky. When the Cobalt Shark’s started their conquest of Lycania they knew Fort Finnley would be the greatest challenge. The Sharks chose to charge headlong into the tempest, besieging Fort Finnley with righteous conviction. They fought tooth and nail for one hundred days, with losses on both sides beyond counting. Local legends say the Siege ended with a single Crimson Wolf soldier backed into a corner in the keep. Refusing to surrender, bloodied and battle-worn, he let out a furious howl and charged the attacking force before he was torn to shreds by Cobalt Shark crossbow bolts. To this day the fort is one of the most highly militarized locations in all of Empiria. The Sharks man the battlements night and day, ever waiting for the day the Wolves decide to reclaim their land.

Saviors Point

Long before it bore the name Saviors Point, settlers from the forest of Lycania were pushed south by fighting in the region. They found what would be their new home on the eastern coast of Haven Bay. Set on a highly irrigated estuary, the entire city sits on wooden stilts above the floodplains below. Shortly after The Great Fall, hundreds of Cobalt Sharks fled their islands and sailed towards Haven Bay driven by mass panic and food shortages. They were granted sanctuary in the city by the Crimson Wolf Empire. Before long, the number of Cobalt Shark citizens rapidly multiplied. When it became obvious the two empires could cohabitate no longer, a deal was struck. However, this came at a steep cost for the Cobalt Shark Empire. The territory was ceded at an exorbitant rate which strained relations between the two empires. This tension evolved into resentment, which eventually drew the two empires into a brutal war. To this day, many refugees seeking a fresh start travel to Savior’s Point for a second chance at life.

Steelfin Bay

While Tekovian Steel does originate from the Cobalt Shark Empire’s capital, Tekovia. An enormous steel deposit located on the side of a volcanic mountain has been the main provider of metal fit for smelting Tekovian Steel for many hundreds of years. Most of this metal is refined and then transported to Tekovia for processing. The mining operations within Steelfin Bay have allowed the city to prosper. Merchants far and wide travel here to get their hands on a piece of Tekovian Steel to sell back home, though such fine quality steel does not come at a small price.

Issai Harbor

Sitting in a valley on the Coast of Niloc. This harbor town was yet another lost in conquest to the Cobalt Sharks. The city provides a crucial supply route from Tobdren to Fort Finnley. When the city was taken, those who remained loyal to the Crimson Wolf Empire fled to Castle Neraz. While those willing to swear fealty to the Cobalt Shark Empire were allowed to remain. Their descendants reside within the city to this day. Currently, Issai Harbor functions as a major trading hub and rest stop for sailors hailing from all over Empiria. A large central canal passes through the ocean, into the city where a complicated system of pulleys is used to load supplies onto caravans. Much of Empiria now relies on this delicate system to supply them with spices, silks, and other goods.
