Aeronest
Nestled between Aerolake and the Corax Mountains. Aeronest lies at the mouth of the Shimmering Valley. While it is mostly known as a fishing town, it also provides a ferry service that can take you from the Ronin Mountains all the way down to the Drakenire Coast. The city is also flanked by a large number of terraced farms built into the mountainside. This has proven popular with tourists who come to admire the glistening mountains of the Shimmering Valley. If luck is on your side you can even find rough chunks of Corax while panning in the river of the valley.
Greenstone Quarry
The mining town of Greenstone Quarry contains an immense reserve of the mystic metal, Corax, that its community extracts day in and day out. Most of which is then polished and exported to Vesperia. This arrangement has allowed the city’s economy to flourish and its people to thrive. A byproduct of the refining process is Corax dust, which is ground into a fine powder. The people of Greenstone Quarry mix this dust with oil and paint it onto the surface of lanterns that dot the city, this gives the streets an unworldly green glow that can be seen from miles away.
Riverbend
A quaint farming village which lies near the border of Mytril and Lycania. The people of Riverbend were taught advanced agricultural techniques by traders from Dorulu who came annually to sell their wheat. The town utilizes watermills placed along the river to process their harvested grain. This, combined with the fish caught in Aeronest is enough to supply the Jade Eagle Empire with enough food to feed its citizens.
Talon's Edge
At the very end of the Corax Mountains lies the city of Talon’s Edge. The town is an attractive rest stop amongst sailors due to the lack of port cities that lay between it and Ursa Harbor. It is also popular with those who wish to isolate themselves from the rest of society due to the secluded nature of the city’s location. This was once a sacred city for the Jade Eagles and even bore the original Temple of Vespes. However during a particularly brutal hurricane, much of the city crumbled into raging waters below, giving the city an unmistakable air of sadness for what was lost to the sea.
Temple of Vespes
When the acolytes of the Temple of Vespes sing their morning and evening prayers, the sound echoes for miles across the plains. This is where the young pupils of the Jade Eagle Empire go to train to become great monks and scholars. Most of the ancient knowledge of Empiria remains well-guarded within the walls of the temple. It is nearly impossible for outsiders to gain entry, as they must first earn the trust of the dedicated guardians who have sworn an oath to protect the sanctuary.
Tri-Point Plateau
A long-held meeting point between the four empires of Empiria. While the city is technically located within Jade Eagle Territory. It is a place where those hailing from all empires are welcomed. The town also acts as a neutral ground for political disputes to be resolved between the empires. One of the many benefits of living in Tri-Point Plateau is that goods from each empire can be found, traded, bought, and sold here with relative ease.
Vesperia
The shining capital of the Jade Eagle Empire lying east of the Corax Mountains. Vesperia is an expansive, beautiful city with spiraling towers adorned with jade rising nearly as high as the mountaintops themselves. The citizens of this metropolis are afforded many great luxuries due to the influx of Corax imported from Greenstone Quarry. Some of the greatest minds in all of Empiria gather within the city. Oftentimes to discuss personal theories and grand philosophies. Huge open air ampitheaters are home to debates and lectures. Local mythology tells of two great philosophers who remained locked in a heated debate in the center of the city for several days, never stopping for food or water for fear that their opponent would use that time to gain the upper hand. Eventually it is said that the two philosophers talked themselves to death. A statue was erected in the city square to commemorate this great clash of the minds, though to this day no one knows what topic they were debating. This city is also where the Jade Eagle council dwells, and makes crucial decisions for the good of the empire.
